International Women's Day - killer stats

Posted in Workshops on March 09, 2010 by Dawn Sillett

The World Economic Forum (WEF) released its Corporate Gender Gap Report yesterday on International Women's Day. The WEF surveyed 600 heads of HR at large global employers. Some of the stats are staggering.

You can access the report here http://www.weforum.org/en/Communities/Women%20Leaders%20and%20Gender%20Parity/GenderGapNetwork/index.htm and check out the stats for your country.

According to Klaus Schwab, the WEF founder, "women account for one half of the potential talent base...over time a nation's competitiveness depends significantly on whether and how it educates and utilises its female talent." So, does this mean that the three sectors with higher than average female employees will be first out of the recovery blocks?
