Book review: 'How to do better creative work' by Steve HarrisonPosted in Book reviews on February 25, 2010 by Dawn Sillett Highly recommended for anyone involved in creating, evaluating, selling or buying creative work. It’s great to read the views of someone who has done the job, won awards and all fairly recently. There are some real nuts and bolts, basic things to get right, such as emphasising selling the client’s product or service when you’re selling creative work. Steve covers the process through building strong client relationships, getting a great brief, evaluating the work that results and then selling it successfully. There are valuable tips in here whether you are starting out on your career or running a department, or your own agency. It’s a recommended read for everyone I train to sell creative work.
